The Ads table provides channel-reported advertising performance across all connected ad platforms. One row per ad per day.

What You Can Answer With This Table

  • How much am I spending on each ad platform? — use spend, group by channel
  • What is my ROAS, CPA, or CPM per campaign? — use roas, cpa, cpm, campaign_name
  • Which ads have the strongest click-through or video engagement? — use ctr, video_p100_watched, ad_id

Before You Query

  • Required field: event_date
  • Breakdown dimensions (breakdown_dimension, breakdown_value) are available for Facebook Ads only and add additional rows per ad per day. When using breakdowns, always include breakdown_value in your GROUP BY — otherwise metrics like spend and impressions will be counted multiple times per ad.
  • Search impression share metrics (search_impression_share, search_budget_lost_top_impression_share, etc.) are accurate only when grouping by ad set (adset_id).

When to Use a Different Table

  • Use Pixel Joined table when you need Triple Whale-attributed revenue or ROAS. The Ads table is for channel-reported ad platform metrics.
  • Use Creatives table when you need performance by individual creative asset, image, or video. The Ads table is for ad-level metrics.

Dimensions are immutable properties that can be used for grouping data.
